February Tour Update

Great news! The groundhog saw his shadow so there are only 6 more weeks of winter.  It will be nice to get out on the course in late March or early April for a change. A handful of Majors opened today. If you are interested you should sign up early to ensure your spot.

A number of our members were active this past month.

Three played at the TPC Sawgrass Major last month. Marc Redman finished T-5 and John Juntilla 8th in Sr. Palmer while Todd Klocke finished 14th in Sr. Snead.

Marc and Todd both played in a Jacksonville tour event the day before at the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club.  Marc took home the Palmer trophy shooting a 74 while Todd finished 6th in Snead.

Marc also played the Duel in the Desert last week. He and his partner finished in 7th in the first flight.  Dean Dubreuil and his partner Brent Taylor (new member) finished 14th in their flight.

Doug Bird played in Palm Desert, CA finishing 12th in Hogan while Sean Hazen played in Palm Springs, CA finishing T-4 in Palmer.

4 members played the ASU Karsten course in Tempe, AZ. Bruce Mills, who has recently taken up winter residence in the valley of the sun, finished 4th and Tim Palya 17th in Sarazen. Dean Sengstock was T-14 in Palmer and new member Scott Takekawa finished T-5 in his first event as a Sr. Palmer.

January was also a very good month for us with 5 more new members two of whom have already gotten their first events behind them. We also have a former member returning.

Eric and Matthew Broich of Woodbury. Dad Eric will play in Palmer while son Matthew will be playing in Championship.

Michael Ehlert of Owatonna has rejoined the Tour after a few years off. He will again be playing in Sr. Hogan. Michael also brought in a playing partner, Craig Harris of Medford, who will be playing in Sr. Jones.

Vince Rosetta of Minneapolis will be playing in Sarazen.

Brent Taylor of Kenora, ON Canada was recruited by Dean Debreuil. He will play in Sr. Palmer. Brent and Dean paired up for Duel in the Desert.

We now stand at 65 members. It's a great time to recruit new members. You will earn a $50 gift card for every referral like Dean and Michael did.

So with the golf show later this month, winter ending next month and our membership roster filling out nicely I'm getting really excited for the coming season. I'm headed for Tampa this month to play in my first event of the year.  I hope you also get a chance to take advantage of all the Tour has to offer. If you have travel plans don't forget to check out that cities tournament schedule.

Warm regards,
Bruce
