Cambridge - cool but no rain in sight, maybe the curse is
broken for the 2015 season. We kicked off the 2015 season
with a fall event at Purple Hawk hosted by Tour member and
Purple Hawk GM Chris Grace.
Nathan Petersen earned his first win of the new season in
the Championship flight.
Chris Grace shot an 82 (tied for low round of the day).
Fellow Hogan competitors said he had a hot putter. Dan
Barrett played his first round as a Sr. Hogan as a result of
his flight promotion from Sr. Sarazen. He is the first to
qualify for Sr. Nationals in 2015.
Paul Alexander shot an 84 in Sarazen flight to earn a 7 shot
victory for his first win in a year.
Warren Ferber held off Vicki Burns for a victory in Sr.
Jones flight. Vicki had a one shot lead after 9 holes but
Warren's back side 44 sealed the deal.
Mike Miller made an emphatic statement in Snead flight
matching the low round of the day (82). Looks like Mike is
vying for a spot in Sr. Jones, or higher.
Special thanks to our two guests today. Roger Bothwell of
Edina played well in Hogan matching the low round of the day
(82). Kathleen Barrett said she had a great time playing in
the Snead flight shooting an even 100. Hopefully we will
see both of these players again soon.
