Half Way

Hey Mike, Mike, Mike Mike. What day is it? It's HUUUMMMPPP DAYYY! We dodged the rain for the most part today but the hurricane in Mexico is tracking closer so the threat is growing every day for significant rainfall. Let's hope not.

Let's start with some really good news. Mssrs. Redman and Klocke were made quite happy last night as they each one some significant SKIN money. Let's just say they both were in the 4 figures.

Dan Geske had a really tough start to his round on the Raptor course with a triple and a double in the first two holes. But he settled into an even par routine even adding a birdie on the 8th hole for a 40 on the front. His back nine was a little rocky with 5 bogies to finish with an 81 putting him T22 in the Championship flight.

Palmer flight played the tough Talon course today. Marc Redman suffered the fate of most of us with a double and a triple in his round of 81, which puts him in 4th place. He had a birdie on 13 taking away my only chance at SKINs today. I shot an 83 (T28). After playing the first 4 holes at 1 under I hit a ball straight into a the face of a bunker when I had been hitting draw all morning. It led to a triple. I had two doubles on the back as well. John Juntilla shot a 95 (T72) today. He had a string of holes at double or worse to finish the front nine at 50. Dean Dubreuil put his first round woes behind him and shot 89. His round included birdies on a par 5 on each side. He is now in 92nd place.

The three amigos in the Sarazen flight were close in score on the North course today. Ed Favorite shot 87 (T116) with one birdie, Dan Barrett had an 88 (T114) with back to back birdies on 10 & 11. Paul Alexander shot an 89 and is 63rd.

Ms. Vicki Burns shot a even 90 today on the Raptor course which puts her in a tie for 29th. Her round included a birdie on the par 3 8th hole and moved her up the leaderboard to . Warren Ferber shot a 96 and is T45 in the Jones flight.

In Snead flight, Todd Klocke shot a 99 (T7), Pete Rojas 107 (T47) and Mike Miller had a rough day at 116 (T38)on the Talon course. All three had a birdie in their round, Pete on the par 3 11th, Todd on the par 4 13th and Mike on the par 5 18th.

Let's hope some of those birdies holds up for SKINs money.
