Credit River Township - Legends was the host of our latest rain soaked tournament. After a brief delay for a thunderstorm we ventured out onto the course with personal flotation devices on.
Nathan Petersen edged out Joe Swierczek by one stroke to win the Palmer flight with a 77. Ted Brown had the early lead with 2 birdies on the front 9 to lead Nathan by one. Joe and Nathan had matching back 9s, Joe's included 2 birdies. This is Nathan's 2nd win.
Dr. Mark Benedetto, of Sioux Falls and a frequent visitor from the KC tour, wins again in the Hogan flight with an 87. He was playing a SRIXON Z-Star XV Pure White golf ball.
Matt Harter earned his 3rd win of the season in Sarazen, which qualifies him for Nationals, with an 84 and a 7 shot victory.
Ed Favorite and Paul Alexander jumped out to a 3 shot lead on the front 9 in Sr. Sarazen. While Dan Barrett had the best back 9 it wasn't enough to catch Ed. Ed was playing a SRIXON Z-Star XV Pure White golf ball.
Jeff Loeffler held a slim one shot lead over Vicki Burns at the turn in the Jones Flight. Jeff went on to shoot 41 on the back 9 which featured a birdie on the 17th hole. This is Jeff's first win on tour.
Michael Miller in the Sr. Snead flight shoots an even 100 to win an unprecedented 5th tournament in a row. Mike was playing a SRIXON Z-Star Pure White golf ball.
Dan Geske won the 50/50 raffle worth $90. Thanks for continuing to support this initiative.
Our next event is Sunday the 27th at Loggers Trail in Stillwater. Registration deadline is Sat the 19th.
