StoneRidge Recap

Stillwater - still more water. Another day of rain and once again we got it in.

Michael Miller wins for the fourth time in the Snead flight.  His round of 97 featured a birdie on the 9th hole.

Vicki Burns gets back to back victories with a 2 shot victory in Sr. Jones over Warren Ferber.  Warren held a 1 shot lead at the turn but ran into trouble on the Barn hole while Vicki got through with a only a double.

Fredy Alvear also gets his second win in a row in Sarazen.  He captured the lead on the first hole with a birdie but Dan Barrett caught and passed him on the 11th and held the lead until an untimely triple bogey on 18 to finish one back.

Corey McGuire wins in Hogan after starting with 2 birdies that gave him a 4 shot lead he would never relinquish.

Ted Brown edges out Marc Redman in Sr. Palmer with an 83.  His front nine 38 gave him enough cushion to withstand a couple of mistakes on the back side.

18 holes wasn't enough for the Palmer flight.  Jeff Gallagher and Mark Steinbauer both posted 84s.  Jeff shooting 42 on both sides and Mark went 44/40.  It took 2 playoff holes before Jeff was able to seal the victory for his 2nd win.

Nathan Petersen and Dan Geske also birdied the first two holes in the Championship flight.  Both carded front side 39s with Sydney Jackson just one shot back. Sydney and Nathan both shot 42 on the back side giving Nathan the one shot victory.

After the round several of the players and their wives enjoyed dinner and a good laugh over the HOT PINK shorts being worn by our resident OKey Paul Alexander.

Our next event is Saturday JULY 12th at Legends Club.
