Chaska TC Amateur

Chaska - absolutely the best golf day all season. The course was perfect and the competition was fierce.

This week the Palmer flight saw the most intense battle. Mike Kelley started out with a bogey on the first hole but birdied #8 to turn at even par with a 3 shot lead over Sean Hazen. New member Jeff Gallagher found his stride on the back nine just two over par to join Sean and Ted Brown at 82 but it wasn't quite enough to catch up to Mike who notched his third win with an 80. Mike is now qualified for Nationals.

David Soleye, from Delaware, has played 3 events with us this summer and finally pushed through to the top for a win in Sarazen.

In the Jones flight, Paul Alexander and Warren Ferber continued their season long battle. Paul took a two stroke lead on the front with a birdie on #4. He then extended his lead to five strokes with another birdie on #14.

Todd Klocke made a triumphant return from his recent medical scare with a ten shot victory in the Snead flight.

Our next event is Sunday at Troy Burne and the weather looks great. Thanks to all who participated at Chaska and for keeping pace.
