First 2016 Tournament Deadline Looming

After a week of 70s and even 80 degrees I think it's safe to say that spring is here. Just in time for our season to begin. The registration deadline for Loggers Trail is this coming Saturday night (4/24).

Why one week ahead of time?
Because I need to commit the number of players to the course for them to hold the tee times. I may be able to re-open registration for a few days if we have an uneven number of players or I can talk the course into holding a few extra spots but there are no guarantees. So don't miss the deadline!

Wondering who else is already registered?
You can see the players already registered on the Tournament Information Page (TIP) Click the View All link and then select Pending Approval. Players are PENDING because I don't accept your registration until after the first deadline so that your credit card isn't charged until then.

Which tees are we playing?
Also shown on the TIP. This is subject to change if weather conditions warrant. If you play a practice round be sure to mention that you are an Am Tour member playing in the tournament. There isn't a special practice rate but it will help to make them aware of the full value the tournament is bringing to the course. The Loggers Trail Dir of Golf is Tim Matsche and a good friend to the Am Tour. So take a moment to say thanks for hosting the event.

What is the schedule of events?
Guess what? This is also on the TIP. It tells you when registration will open and the range of tee times. Actual tee times and pairings will be posted not later than 3 days before the tournament begins, typically Thursday. You'll receive an email with your pairings as well.

What else does the TIP tell me?
Hopefully you are getting the impression that the TIP is an important source of information. You will also find our GCAT Hard Card, standard rules/practices for all Am Tour events, the Notice to Competitors for local rules, driving directions and more.

If you haven't already done so you should review the Player Handbook to answer many of your questions and download the mobile app for your phone. You can use the app to access all of the TIP info as well as take a course tour and use the GPS to plan your round. We will use the app for real time scoring and leaderboard.
After registration closes I'll send more info on what to expect the day of the tournament.

I look forward to seeing you at Loggers Trail.
