Fore Please! Team MN Now Driving

And so it begins.  We've survived the biggest single day rainfall ever in Phoenix, something on the order of 4-5".  If you saw the national news you know the desert can't handle anywhere near that much water.  There was severe flooding everywhere.  I want it on record that I had nothing to do with selecting the date or the location so I think the bad rap I got this year for the number of events with rain is simply coincidence.

Tomorrow our 7 players start their Journey to Better.  Tonight was a chance to get together and enjoy the festivities and the entertainment.  Peter Jacobsen hosted after dinner and as you'd expect it was full of laughter and plenty of insight into tour life and other topics.  Peter was joined by Curt Byrum and Charlie Beljan.  You might remember Charlie Beljan as the winner at Disney a few years ago after spending the night in the hospital after the 2nd round.  One of the key messages was to focus on the task at hand rather than the implications of the result.  They told us lots of stories about how they had the same fears and nerves we have over a 4 footer when the round, match or tournament is on the line.

After dinner we got together for pictures around the National trophies with Peter Jacobsen.  A great start to the week.  Good luck to the MN 7.
