Day One Done

600 plus golfers took to the 4 courses this morning in search of a National Championship. We got another heavy, but short, rainfall today to slow things down a bit at midday but by the end of the day everyone got finished.

Nathan Petersen played the North Course at Talking Stick and shot 77 putting him in a tie for 42nd out of 68 players. Tomorrow he will play the South course.

The Palmer flight played at Grayhawk on the Talon course. Sean Hazen and Jeff Gallagher shot 78s and are T-13 while Mike Kelley is T-22 with a 79. They will play on the Raptor course next.

Tony Hugelin is T-74, out of 152 players in Hogan flight, with an 84 on Talking Stick South. He'll move over to the North course for his 2nd round.

Bruce Mills and Matt Harter played the Raptor course at Grayhawk in the Sarazen flight. Bruce shot 89 and is in T-28 while Matt shot 97 and is T-95 out of 133 players. They will tackle the Talon course tomorrow.

Tonight they are enjoying the first of the nightly scoring parties. Tomorrow we all hope for better weather and luck on the course.
