Troy Burne Recap

Hudson, WI - it rained, somewhere else for a change! Beautiful warm sunshine, great course conditions and some of the best scores of the season.

The best round of the day was recorded by John Juntilla in Palmer flight with an even par 71. The back nine 32 is even more impressive. It featured 4 birdies and one bogey.

Corey McGuire took the early lead in the Hogan flight with a front side 40. Edgar Moore, visiting from the Richmond Tour, was 2 strokes behind but shot a back side 41 to earn the victory.

Bruce Mills found himself 3 shots back after the front nine but rallied on the back with a nice 41 to capture his first win in Sarazen flight this season.

The Sr. Sarazen flight was led by Paul Alexander after the first 9 holes but Stephen Holland played steady golf on both sides to capture his third win of the season. Ed Favorite made a charge with an eagle and a birdie on the back nine but fell one stroke short.

Vicki Burns had a 2 stroke advantage at the turn over Warren Ferber in Sr. Jones. Both had early birdies on their card. Cindy Miller added a birdie on the 13th and had the better back nine of the flight but it wasn't enough to catch Warren with his best round, 90, since early April.

Corey McGuire was the lucky winner of $95 in the Troops First Foundation 50/50 raffle. Donations total $705 to date. Thanks for your support.

Next event is our Tour Championship at The Wilds next Sunday. Registration closes Wednesday evening. This is the last chance to qualify for Nationals. We will also be awarding Order of Merit and Player of the Year.
