Rush Creek Recap

Somebody suggested I head for Vegas after selecting a terrific day for our opening tournament way back in November.  I recall my course contact saying she might be concerned as to whether the course would even be open yet when we booked the date as last year they didn't open until mid-May.

36 players in 6 flights, 4 playoffs and one lucky raffle winner made for a pretty good start to the 2014 season. See the Photos section of the TIP or go to the Tour Photo Album using the link in the Related Websites portion of the TIP.

-Dan Geske beat Dan Barnhouse on the first playoff hole to capture the Championship trophy.
-Dean Sengstock bested Marc Redman in their playoff for Palmer flight.
-Johnnie Adams needed two extra holes to top Corey McGuire in the Hogan flight.
-Matt Harter outlasted Scott Sahli in the Sarazen playoff.
-Dan Barrett lapped the field to take home the trophy and prizes in Sr. Sarazen.
-Michael Miller returns to the winners circle with a victory in the Snead flight.

There were two skins worth $70 each in the Champ/Palmer/Hogan division. Robert Dew (Palmer) with a birdie on #2 and Dan Geske (Championship) with a birdie on #5. There were three skins worth $60 each in the Sarazen/Sr. Sarazen and Snead division.  Scott Sahli (Sarazen) takes 2 of them with an EAGLE on #2 and a birdie on #9 and Fredy Alvear gets the other with a birdie on #11 (as everyone left before these were determined the money will be available at check in for your next event).

Jeff Loeffler won the 50/50 Raffle.  $135 to him and the other half to Feherty's Troops First Foundation.  Thank you for supporting this.

Many MN Tour members will be headed to Kohler, WI for the Major at Blackwolf Run. Good luck to you all. I can't be there but I'll keep a close eye on the proceedings. We are back in action at Willingers on June 1.  Sign up now. Many thanks to Deb Alexander, Val Loeffler and my love, Mary Addleman for their assistance. I couldn't do it without them.
