Since it's the first full day of spring it seems fitting to at least think about golf.  As I write I can see some of the fairway on #12 of The Wilds but there is a lot more snow to melt.

Congratulations to Todd Klocke, Sr. Snead, who qualified for Sr. Nationals by virtue of his 2nd place finish at Pinehurst this past weekend.  His 89 on the #4 course was the low round for the flight for the weekend.  This is even more impressive when you consider that Saturday the #2 course took its toll punishing him with a 118.  Having played there last year I can tell you that #4 isn't that much easier than #2 so Todd really turned things around.  I'm guessing most of the difference was being able to hold the greens and putting.
Warren Ferber also played at Pinehurst finishing 12th in Sr. Jones.  Like Todd his better round of the weekend was on Sunday but his was on #2.  That had to feel pretty good.
Welcome to 3 new members.
-Dave Doherty of Champlin will be playing in Sr. Sarazen.
-Steven Holland of Hendricks will be playing in Sr. Sarazen as well.
-Scott Sahli of Ipswich, SD will be playing in Jones.
And a special welcome back to returning member Vicki Burns who has been working hard on her game and will be playing Sr. Sarazen this year.
There are only a few spots open for Black Wolf Run in May.  Register now if you want to play the closest major to MN this season.
Here's hoping for a steady melt and news of course openings in the next month.
