White Eagle Recap

Hudson, WI - a picture perfect day. White Eagle proved to be a stern test for GC AmTour members this weekend. 4 players showed they plan to stay on top of the hill until someone knocks them off.

Jeffrey McVay made it two in a row with his victory in the Snead flight over 3 others. Pete Rojas was only 1 shot back after the first nine holes and Todd Klcocke made a charge on the back nine with a 48 but neither were enough to catch Jeffrey.

Craig Harris also went back to back with a 4 shot win over Ms. Vicki in the Jones flight. Craig's 3 shot lead after nine was all he would need but he gained one more shot on the back.

In Sr. Sarazen it was George Hardgrove continuing his good play this season after a T2 finish in the opener. His steady 43/42 card let him cruise to a 4 shot victory. Doug Bird was two back on both sides to finish 2nd.

Fredy Alvear found himself two shots back after nine holes to Matt Harter in Sarazen. Fredy's 41 on the back gave him a 6 shot lead and his 2nd win of the young season.

Del Oliver and Anthony Hugelen were tied at 44 after the outward nine. Del's 43 on the inward nine gave him a 5 shot edge and his first tour win.

Mike Kelley continues to build his legend on Tour but it wasn't easy. Sydney Jackson jumped out to a 4 shot lead with a 37 on the front nine featuring back to back birdies on #2 & #3. Mike Kelley and Eric Broich shot 41. While Sidney added another birdie on #18 he suffered 3 doubles to let Mike slip past for the one shot victory with an 81 despite a triple for Mike on #17. Eric's 42 on the back gave him 3rd place.

Steven Holland's long ride home was made a bit easier with his win of the 50/50 Raffle and $125. Thanks to all of you for supporting Feherty's Troops First Foundation.

Mike Kelley and Jeffrey McVay won the closest to the pin contests.
